I love this feature. Matching a solid to a print is really hard when shopping online, and I have often asked the question…what goes with what.

What a good idea! I am just about to figure out which solids would look good with Amy Butler ‘Love’. Now I know she has issued threads to go with it, so that should be a clue :-)

I really enjoy your blogs and especially this one. I’m an interior designer who has taken up quilting and I often find myself helping folks in the fabric stores pick out fabrics to go with what they are working on! I’m speaking to two quilt groups this fall about color and design. Love it!

Thanks! This is exactly what I need, sometimes it’s hard for me to tell online what colors work with the prints.

Great feature and I look forward to it for other collections. Are the various brands of solids all compatible? I’ve only used Kona Cottons but I’d like something with a higher thread count in the hopes that another brand might have less fraying. Any recommendations?
    thanks

Hi Pam, We use all our solids together regardless of manufacturer. The Michael Miller Cotton Couture is more like a cotton sheeting which appears to have a higher thread count. Email me if you would like a swatch sent out to you. diana@pinkchalkfabrics.com

THE LA DEE DA FABRICS AND THE KONAS ARE GREAT. THOSE WOULD MAKE GREAT GIFT PROJECTS. OUR CLUB JUST GOT A REQUEST FOR A DONATION OF 400 LAP QUILTS FOR OUR LOCAL ARMY BASE, THAT HAS PROJECT WOUNDED WARRIORS, THESE ARE MEN AND WOMEN WHO DEFENDED OUR COUNTRY AND AS A RESULT WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO LEAVE THIS FACILITY, EVER. SO WE ARE GOING INTO OVERDRIVE TO GET THE JOB DONE.
