Day Trip to Pink Chalk Fabrics

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of meeting up with Katie Pedersen of Sew Katie Did and a lovely group of women from the Seattle Modern Quilt Guild including our very own Melissa. After a fabulous lunch at Cafe Nola and a preview look at Katie and Jacquie’s AMAZING new book Quilting Modern, we made our way back to the shop. Ara Jane took this picture of her adorable baby Ingrid hard at work. Goodness, this image gives me the warmest, happiest feelings ever.

Ara Jane shares great photos from the visit on her blog. I very rarely get to see other people’s photos of the space so these are truly a special treat.

Awww I remember when my kids used to do that at the fabric store. Of course they were usually pulling things off the shelf and saying “fretty momma” at the same time.

What fun? Do you have an actual shop or is this just your studio from where you run the online shop? Just curious because I have family on Bainbridge.

      Hi Kathy,

We are an online only shop but welcome local customers to come in and pick up their orders to save on shipping.

      Thank you!

Oh my. Last week, when I was singing your praises during a visit to Vashon Island, my sweet friend Sarah said, “The next time you’re up, we’ll plan a trip to Bainbridge and Pink Chalk.” When I explained why that would not work, we both sighed.

While I completely understand why this is so, it’s sweet to see a visitor enjoying her time there so wholeheartedly.

Thanks for your note Beth, I continue to look into the possibility of opening for onsite shopping – we LOVE visiting with Pink Chalk customers in person!

Darn! Now I wish I was part of that guild, I would loved to have visited! Winslow is such a pretty place, and we go every once in a while to ‘get away.’ :)
