12/22/11 Update: Winners Announced

Everyone on the Pink Chalk team has been talking non-stop about making handmade gifts this season. The trend of cooking our food at home and making things the old fashioned way reminds us that the satisfaction of a job well done with one’s own hands is a gift to ourselves and the people we share our lives with.
Handmade with Love is a celebration of making and giving gifts.
We invite you to link a tutorial you’ve written sometime in 2011 to one of the three categories below: Gifts for Friends, Gifts for Little Ones, and Deck the Halls. Tutorials that will inspire us all to make gifts for our friends and family, gifts for the little ones in our life, and gifts to decorate our homes for the holidays.
There’s some fun prizes too — see the details at the bottom of this post for contest guidelines.
Happy Holidays and Happy Handmade Gift Giving!

Wondering if gifts for our doggie friends count.
absolutely stephanie – I would categorize them as gifts for friends
Wondering if you have to have a blog to participate?
You need a location where you can post your tutorial online and provide a permalink. You could definitely do that on a website page. If anyone knows of other options for doing that please share. Thank you!
You could use Flickr, just put the instructions in the description for each photo, then put all the steps into a gallery or set for people to scroll through. Then you could link to the URL for the gallery. I’ve never tried it, but it might work.
This is going to be so much fun!
I can’t wait to see the tutorials that pop up! Great idea!
I am not sure I’ll have time to participate, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate that you found a way (and were thoughtful enough) to include your European readers into this contest. Thank you!
I forgot to ask – is this only for sewing/quilting, or are other crafts such as knitting or crochet welcome as well?
I’m going to limit it to sewing/quilting Isabelle, but I’m already thinking about additional categories for next year. I think Yarn is something that we need to expand into. Thank you!
Thank you Kathy. Doggie friends tutorial is posted.

I am enjoying the tutorials; I especially liked the raggedy edge pillow from the Girl Who Quilts. I may have to try that one myself- she sure made it look easy!
Oh, silly me, I didn’t read that you can only enter one per category until after I entered too many! My apologies!! If you’d remove my Quilted Stripes Pillow entry from the gift giving and my Felt Flower Crown from the kids category, that would be great! So sorry!!
Thanks – a wonderful list of fabulous tutorials!
