The bed pocket is a good idea!
Hi Kathy ~ I was hoping to see pictures of your sewing studio. Are there any on your blog? Your email this week mentioned Martha Stewart storage solutions (I didn’t know she sold them at HD!) and was hoping to see them in action. My current sewing goal is to sort and (better) organize my stash and convert my office/guest room to an office/sewing room. I might just have to make a trip to check out Martha’s goods myself. Have a great week.
I just adore that Japanese import fabric. dmj53(at)hotmail(dot)com
I really love all the Soul Blossoms fabric that is going into the One Yard Wonders project. It is such wonderful vibrant fabric, it just lights up a space! Great work.
I made the mail pocket duo in November during Thanksgiving break! I plan on making the trashbag for your car next.
I’m so glad more solids are being made available. What with all the wonderful prints, dots and stripes you need the solids to anchor them. Hopefully I’ll be the lucky winner.
LOVE the new solids you’re offering (or at least I just now discovered them!)
I adore these pockets! So easy and simple. It adds such a fun little piece of fun around the house. It’s would be even more fun quilting these pockets using the Kona solids that were in the newsletter.

I LOVE the bed pocket. This sew-along schedule looks great! I will have to get this book and sew along. Thanks!
I’m really enjoying the sew-along!
This sew along has been a lot of fun to follow. Such great projects and you do such a great job!
I’m in love with the train fabric, but all my Gkids are too old for it. Maybe I’m just old enough…grin.
I’m glad to see you are carrying so many solid fabrics. I hate it when a store only has a couple and they are usually neutrals.
I must start the fat quarters projects/sew along!
Where can I find the Japanese train pattern fabric?
I just found this post at a perfect time!! I was looking for a pattern exactly like mailbag for my daughter’s new bunk bed!
I am going to have to give this a try – and get that book!
I definitely need this book! It’s got great patterns.
I love this idea of making all the patterns in your book! What a great challenge!
The sew along is looking fun! glad I came over to this post!
My son would adore one of those mail pockets! He’s always making paper ‘mailboxes’ and hanging them all over the place. I’m going to have to make one!
I’m just loving your sew along articles even though I haven’t actually managed to sew along with you yet!
I like the bed pocket idea. It would clear off some space on the bedside table.
Bed pockets are so perfect for kids’ rooms!
This one has been high on my “Must – do” list since I got the book! Thanks for the nudge
I need to do this!
the bed pocket is a great idea! my son would love that!
A bed pocket – how beautifully brilliant. This would allow room for the teacup on the sidetable! Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
I like that mailbag pocket, but I know my girls could use one of those bed pockets at their bedside. I am always finding things in their beds that they could have stashed in a pocket like that. Hmmmm…
i love your choices of fabric for your projects. I love this book and need to find it.
I love the bed pocket. That would be a great thing for me. Great idea!!
I love love love any organizing item that is pretty!
I am having so much fun with this sew along….thanks for inspiring me!
Oh I love this one, nothing better than keeping things in easy reach.
This is such an awesome and ambitious idea!! I just sat down last night to flip through my copy and flagged a bunch of pages. I can’t commit to all 101 projects but I certainly will hop in when I can!
Hi Kathy,
I just read the newsletter… I love that you are carrying all those solids. I have read posts comparing the Kona & Bella solids but haven’t read so much on how the others compare such as the Amy Butler ones or Freespirit – I’d love to read your take as far as weight/color selection/matching?!
Thanks.
Karen
sounds like a much needed post Karen!
I’m enjoying your One Yard Wonders progress notes.
Inspiring! I’d love love love to win the Kumari Garden fabrics by Dena Designs.
I love that bed pocket! I have been meaning to make one for myself to keep my book/book light in!
I just made myself the Bed Pocket yesterday! What a great idea!
This is a lovely project. Thanks.
Perfect for remote controls! Love it!
Hi Emily
What a great thing you have done to bring this to peoples attention. My frind and I have just made 18 dresses to send over with a friend in June.
Keep up the great work.
Delia and Margot
This would be perfect for my daughter who stashes her books under her pillow (which can’t be comfortable) and then looses them in between the mattress and bed frame!
Was the fabric you used quilting weight or home decor weight? Thanks. These look great.
